Uniting Aged Well - Strathdevon

Uniting Aged Well’s only North West Site, Strathdevon at Latrobe has undergone a major refurbishment, with almost $10m being spent on upgrading the site including a completely new kitchen.

THCS were the successful tenderer, working closely with local construction company Vos Construction.

Our Devonport Manager and Project Co-Ordinator Luke Clarke  worked closely with UAW Project Manager Albert Lee on the initial specification, and executed the supply and installation with our Launceston Logistics & Warehouse Manager Simon Gillam, using our local subcontractors Devonport Electrical, Lee Hacker from Rapid Gas & A Grade Electrics.

THCS are proud to deliver this quality project to Uniting Aged Well.

Devonport's Paranaple Centre

Tas Hotel & Catering Supplies have had the pleasure of being involved in the North West Coast’s largest project, Devonport’s Paranaple Centre. We have recently been awarded the tender to supply the Crockery, Glassware & Cutlery for the new convention & function centre, so watch this space for photos really soon.

Our Devonport Manager & Project Coordinator, Luke Clarke sank his teeth into this project for almost 3 years, with tender submission success being awarded only 8 months ago and says “to finally play a part in Devonport’s largest project has been an extraordinary journey, to be able to supply and install such a significant kitchen on such a significant project, just 150 meters from my office has been an overwhelming and continues to be, an exciting and rewarding project to be involved in"

Devonport's Youth Accommodation Kitchen

An almost $7.5m supported accommodation facility for homeless young people; Devonport’s Youth Accommodation Project is almost completed.

Tasmanian Hotel & Catering Supplies were the successful Kitchen Contractor and have recently supplied multiple pieces of equipment for the main cook-chill kitchen which will be ran by Social Enterprise, Loaves & Fishes.

The Neptune Hotel

TH&CS Devonport Manager Luke Clarke recently assisted Goodstone Groups Sean Donohue with new glassware, cutlery & some small kitchen appliances for The Neptune Hotel’s funky new refurb.

The ol’ pub hasn’t seen many changes over the years, however, this one is sure to excite punters, the new restaurant name “The Woking Wombat” has an emphasis on an Asian themed menu, but still with all the pub favourites, the new “Yum Cha” menu section gives everyone’s taste buds an oriental experience.

From full walls airbrushed in murals, to funky “Japanese styled, Melbourne alley way feels” graffiti, this place sure looks quirky and very trendy…

Just another Jewel in the crown of Tasmania’s North West Food Bowl.

Well done Sean and the team from Goodstone, looks fantastic.

Southern Wild Distillery

Recently at THCS Devonport, we partnered with Southern Wild Distillery, to assist in the opening of this little gem!! Situated in the heart of Devonport, the newest set-up is only temporary, to be moved into “Providore Place”, Southern Wild Distillery will become the talking point for all things Distilling, in the centre of Devonport’s Living City.

THCS recently supplied some important key equipment to SWD, including the first MEIKO Reverse Osmosis Glasswasher on the North West Coast and also the first BREMA Pebble Ice Machine in Tasmania, along with some commercial refrigeration, and also the majority of the Antique Washed Copper & Timber Furniture, as well as Trenton’s Luigi Bormioli glassware, matched with Phillip Lazarus’s Libbey Speakeasy Margarita and Wine range of stemmed glassware.

Devonport Manager and project coordinator Luke Clarke, says “this is the beginning of great things to come, George has really showcased his talents and proven what the North West can produce”, “we wish him every success into the future and beyond, congratulations”.

Be sure to check out SWD once they officially open their doors in January 2017.

What make them sooo special, their website tells the unique, North West Coast story… “Isolated from the rest of the world, north-west Tasmania is naturally blessed. Full of towns named Paradise, Promised Land, Nowhere Else and Whisky Creek, everything points to the perfect place to make good liquor. Surrounded by clean air, the purest water runs from the snowmelt from Cradle Mountain via rivers such as Dasher and Fisher, through the rich soils of undulating hills, crossing the narrow coastal plain and into Bass Strait. This place is home to Southern Wild Distillery”.

The River Arms

North West Tasmania has another exceptional eatery.

Congratulations to The Goodstone Group on the opening of the refurbished River Arms. THCS proudly partnered with The Goodstone Group, supplying their Brand New Kitchen, their "spaceship" like Marana Forni Pizza Oven, and their marvellous Robert Gordon Pottery.

Have yourself a Delano Specialty Coffee made by their experienced barista's on the state-of-the-art San Remo Verona coffee machine.
